Mrs. Rosemary Jenkins is the City Clerk for the City of Lithonia.  She has been a resident of Lithonia, Georgia for 11 years.  Mrs. Jenkins servers as the Assistant to the Mayor and City Council.  The City Clerk attends all City Council meetings and provides the minutes, sets the agendas, as well as serves as the custodian of the City Seal.  Most of the records pertaining to the City are kept in the clerk's office with the exception of police and court records.

Mrs. Jenkins is responsible for full-charge accounting that includes accounts payable and receivable, payroll, budgeting, budget analysis and assisting in the preparation of the city's annual budget.  She also prepares monthly financial reports and maintains the city's personnel records.

The City Clerk's Office is responsible for the following:

  • Collection of Property Tax
  • Business License/Occupation Tax
  • Sign Permits
  • Yard Sale Permits
  • Building Permits
  • Planning & Zoning
  • Beer and Wine License/Alcoholic Beverage License
